Job summary

MTS Global Pte Ltd based in Johor Bahru seeks an Asset Management Specialist to manage IT hardware assets, track inventory, and support movement of equipment within the data centre environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in asset management or related fields, with strong attention to detail, barcode scanning, and experience with inventory systems. On-site work in Johor Bahru is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in asset management, inventory control, warehouse, logistics, data centre operations, IT hardware support or related field.
• Candidates with experience handling IT hardware, servers, network equipment or electronic components will have an added advantage.
• Able to work in a structured and process-driven environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Comfortable with barcode scanning, serial number tracking, stock count and system updates.
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Able to communicate and coordinate with internal teams, vendors and onsite operations staff.
• Comfortable working onsite in Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT hardware asset activities within the data centre environment.
• Support receiving, unpacking, verification and movement of IT equipment.
• Track and update asset records accurately in the inventory / asset management system.
• Perform serial number checking, asset tagging, barcode scanning and stock reconciliation.
• Support inbound and outbound hardware movement, including servers, network devices, storage equipment, spare parts and accessories.
• Coordinate with data centre technicians, engineers, vendors and logistics teams on equipment movement and deployment requirements.
• Support RMA, return, replacement and defective-part tracking.
• Assist with cycle count, stock check, audit preparation and inventory accuracy reporting.
• Maintain proper documentation for asset handover, receiving, issuing, transfer and disposal.
• Ensure physical stock and system records are aligned.
• Follow site SOPs, safety rules, security requirements and escalation processes.
• Report discrepancies, missing items, damaged goods or asset mismatches promptly.
