Job summary

Millennium Technology Services in Johor Bahru is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to support data centre operations. You will manage day-to-day IT hardware asset activities, assist with receiving and movement of equipment, and ensure records are accurate in the asset management system.

The role focuses on stock control, barcode scanning, serial number verification, and coordination with technicians, vendors and logistics teams.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in asset management or inventory control.
Experience in data centre operations, IT hardware support or logistics is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
Basic Excel skills and ability to update system records.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day IT hardware asset activities within the data centre.
Receive, unpack, verify and move IT equipment.
Maintain and update asset records in the inventory system.
Perform serial number checks, tagging, barcode scans and stock reconciliation.
Coordinate with technicians, vendors and logistics teams for equipment movement.
Support RMA, returns and defective parts tracking.
Assist with cycle counts, audits and inventory reporting.
Ensure documentation for handover, receiving, issuing, transfer and disposal.
Maintain alignment between physical stock and system records.
