Job summary

Air Selangor seeks a lead for Asset, Analysis, Monitoring & Improvement to govern asset and inventory accounting in line with policies, SOPs and MFRS. You will drive governance, closing accuracy, audit readiness and continuous improvement across processes and systems.

Responsibilities include end-to-end asset lifecycle governance, monthly and yearly closing, journals, stock-takes, and collaboration with Asset Owners; plus budgeting, reporting, and KPI leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in assets/inventory or related finance functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/finance; professional qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end asset lifecycle governance and ensure timely system updates.
• Monitor WIP and Asset Clearing to ensure prompt capitalization; resolve backlogs.
• Review and approve journals related to asset transactions with adequate support.
• Lead engagement with Asset Owners and Originating Departments to validate data quality.
• Prepare and/or review audit and tax schedules with clear rationale and evidence.
• Oversee month-/year-end Inventory closing and resolve exceptions with preventive actions.
• Coordinate annual stock-take with IMS; oversee write-off/disposal documentation.
• Consolidate and approve Inventory Listing for FRR submission and auditors.
• Identify enhancements to Asset & Inventory modules; collaborate with IT on design/testing.
• Update SOPs/policies reflecting changes; implement preventive controls.
• Lead annual budgeting for asset expenditures and depreciation assumptions; report timely.
• Provide timely reporting to internal/external stakeholders.
• Set KPIs/KRAs; coach team and represent Sub‑Unit in cross-functional forums.
