Job summary

Alcon Laboratories Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting & Reporting (Inventory Management) to ensure accurate inventory accounting, perform close processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role supports internal and external reporting, with emphasis on IFRS compliance and audit readiness.

You will work with SAP, Excel, and a matrix of regional stakeholders, contributing to process improvements and timely close cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA/CA) preferred or in progress.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin.
• 2–5 years of RTR experience in a Shared Services or multinational environment, supporting Inventory Management or equivalent.
• Strong experience in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, accounting policies, and audit requirements, with hands-on audit support.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for accounting and reporting of inventory for the commercial entity.
• Prepare and post journals on inventory provisions and adjustments.
• Coordinate with COE team managing inventory provision calculations and rationale.
• Manage material costing, costing release, and investigate issues on TPC and PPV.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in Inventory accounts.
• Prepare and support financial statements and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements on Inventory accounts with explanations.
