Job summary

Private Advertiser on Penang Island seeks an Accounting Team Lead to oversee cost accounting across multiple Asia entities. You will manage fixed assets, CIP tracking, and capital reporting, while supporting audits and budgeting.

You will perform KPI reporting, analyze inventory movements, maintain standard costs, and partner with Supply Chain to improve profitability. Occasional travel to Kulim Hi-Tech Park may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (5-8 years).
• Experience in Finance Shared Service and manufacturing industry.
• CPA/CGMA certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with high data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset reporting system and CIP tracking for multiple sites; assist with capital reporting.
• Assist with year-end financial audits and compliance audits on costs, inventory and manufacturing financials.
• Conduct comparative analytical flux analysis between locations from manufacturing cost perspectives.
• Prepare and report weekly and monthly operational KPIs.
• Analyze inventory movements and work closely with Supply Chain.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and act as business partner to improve profitability.
• Review inventory written off and maintain standard costs.
• Perform month-end cost accounting close and assist with forecasting and annual budgeting.
• Support preparation of capital investment analysis to evaluate ROI and payback.
• Support standardization and consolidation to enable shared service structure.

This role is cover for multiple entities in Asia.

Manages fixed asset reporting system and CIP tracking for multiple sites in additional to capital reporting.

Assists with the year-end financial audit and compliance audits on costs, inventory and manufacturing related financials.

Conducts comparative analytical flux analysis between locations from manufacturing activities cost perspectives.

Prepares and reports weekly and monthly operational KPI’s.

Analyzes inventory movements and work closely with Supply Chain.

Analyzes manufacturing costs and act as business partner to improve profitability.

Review inventory written off.

Ensure accurate inventory costs and adequate reserves for inventory obsolescence.

Maintain standard costs.

Perform month-end cost accounting close and assists with forecasting and annual budgeting.

Supports preparation of capital and investment decision analysis to evaluate the ROI and payback.

Supports standardization and consolidation efforts and initiatives to allow for a shared service structure.

Provides support to establish data mining and automation techniques and systems that enable more efficient analysis.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (5-8 years).

Experience in Finance Shared Service and manufacturing industry.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification preferred.

Excellent analytical skills with high data accuracy.

Must be willing to travel to Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, on an occasional basis.
