Job summary

V.S. INDUSTRY BERHAD in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a hands-on Equipment Assembler to perform mechanical and electrical assembly of semiconductor test systems and sub-assemblies.

You will read engineering drawings and BOMs to build and wire harnesses as part of a precision manufacturing team. The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, or fresh graduates welcome, with the ability to read technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and conduct basic testing.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in equipment assembly, wire harness, semiconductor, or cleanroom manufacturing.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Able to read technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Assembly: Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of semiconductor test systems, sub-assemblies, and wire harnesses using engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Wiring & Integration: Route cables, build custom wire harnesses, and terminate electrical or pneumatic components (relays, switches, circuit breakers).
• Testing & Calibration: Conduct functional, continuity, and performance tests on assembled hardware and electrical components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized testing tools.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix basic mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic failures during the assembly and testing process.
