Job summary

Psdc is seeking a Test Equipment Technician in Malaysia to install, maintain and improve manufacturing test equipment. You will ensure uptime through hands-on troubleshooting and perform preventive maintenance to support ramp-ups and ongoing production.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and a background in mechanical and electronics/electrical engineering is preferred. Knowledge of semiconductor testing processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical and Electronics/Electrical Engineering required.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Understanding of Semiconductor Testing equipment processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, transfer and buyoff test equipment for manufacturing ramp-up.
• Sustain equipment uptime with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as per plan.
• Set up, buyoff, and conversion of equipment.
• Manage spare parts, tools, and meters.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment per drawings/manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed.
• May implement equipment modifications per engineering directions.

Job description

Responsibilities

As a Test Equipment Technician, you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Sustain and improve key performance indices of the equipment through continuous improvement activities.

• Responsible for Test equipment transfer, setup and buyoff, and support for manufacturing ramp up
• Responsible for sustain equipment uptime, with hand on trouble shooting on the equipment
• Perform and complete the scheduled PM as per plan
• Perform equipment setup, buyoff, and conversion
• Work on spare part/tools/meters management
• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
