Job summary

Altus Engineering & Trading in Penang invites applications for a Mechanical/Manufacturing Technician. You will assemble jig and fixture components and automation systems according to engineering drawings, perform fittings and alignments, and support testing to meet quality standards.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Reading drawings and basic wiring knowledge are a plus; the role suits those who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and value teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical fitting, pneumatics, and basic electrical wiring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble jig & fixture components and automation systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation of parts.
• Conduct functional testing and ensure assemblies meet the required quality standards.
• Assist engineers in troubleshooting and resolving assembly-related issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in proper working condition.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for production and assembly processes.
