Job summary

QES Group of Companies in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Assembly Technician to join our team. You will perform assembly, installation, testing and commissioning of machinery and equipment, reading engineering drawings, and supporting engineers during assembly activities.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with willingness to travel locally when required is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with experience in machinery assembly, equipment installation, wiring, testing, or troubleshooting will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, automation equipment, or production equipment is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly work according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Assist engineers in machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and installation activities.
• Conduct functional testing and inspection of machines to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during the assembly and testing process.
• Perform basic electrical wiring, component installation, and mechanical fitting as required.
• Support engineers in machine modification, improvement, and enhancement activities.
• Ensure assembly and production activities are completed accurately and according to the required schedule.
• Maintain proper records and documentation related to assembly, testing, inspection, and troubleshooting activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Work closely with engineers and other departments to resolve technical and production-related issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Support machine installation and commissioning activities at customer sites when required.
• Provide technical support to ensure smooth and efficient production activities.
• Any other related tasks assigned by the superior from time to time.

We are principally involved in manufacturing of optical inspection, measurement & automated handling equipment for Semiconductor industry.

In line with our business expansion, we are currently seeking a motivated and hands‑on candidate to join our team as Assembly Technician.

General Responsibilities:-
