Job summary

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Operational Excellence Lead to drive Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity, and cost reduction across Assembly Operations. You will lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff to sustain performance.

This role focuses on analytics (OEE, UPH, cycle time), establishing action plans, conducting 5S, Gemba walks, Value Stream Mapping, and DMAIC projects, with regular audits and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve manufacturing performance: OEE, UPH, yield, downtime, WIP, cycle time, efficiency, scrap and costs.
• Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints and sources of losses in assembly operations.
• Develop and monitor action plans for underperforming areas and drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and DMAIC projects.
• Lead Lean activities: 5S, Gemba walks, Value Stream Mapping, line balancing, time studies, SMED, standard work improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional improvement efforts with Production, Process, Equipment, Quality, Planning and other support functions.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards using Excel and PowerPoint; present progress to management and during audits.
