Job summary

Versatile Creation Sdn Bhd (Recruitment Firm) is seeking an assembler for a shift-based role in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia. You will assemble vacuum valves and components to meet quality and delivery targets while adhering to safety and 5S standards.

The role requires basic engineering education (MIN SKM 1 and Diploma) and teamwork, with fresh graduates welcome and a preference for 3 years' similar experience.

Qualifications

• Min SKM 1 and a Diploma in engineering or equivalent; fresh graduates welcome; prefer 3 years in cleanroom assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble vacuum valves and components delivering quality within cycle time.
• Perform functional leak tests per specifications and troubleshoot leaks.
• Conduct final inspection and prepare packaging for shipment.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain 5S on the shop floor.
• Set up equipment and ensure correct programs for assembly and test.
• Record production data accurately in the supporting system.
• Communicate with supervisor on quality issues, parts availability, and deadlines.

Job description

Assembler (Shift work - 4-2 and shift 5-2 pattern) inclusive Overtime and allowances RM3000++

1 Role and Responsibilities

• Assemble vacuum valves and valve component, with timely delivery of products in required quality and at reasonable cost level (within planned cycle time)
• Perform functional leak test in accordance to specification. Troubleshoot and solve any leakage issue during leak test process
• Perform final inspection and customized packaging for shipment
• Actively participate in continuous improvement process and maintain 5S at work environment to increase the productivity and maintain safety - Timely perform maintenance on equipment, devices, jigs and fixtures according to schedule.
• Properly setup and handle equipment, jigs/fixture and parts with correct program and parameters for assembly, test and packaging processes.
• Accurately maintain information in Production Supporting System (i.e. Inventory, cost, quality, delivery leadtime) with accurate data entry and timely transactions.
• Perform task according to procedure and work instruction
• Perform timely recording and accurate reporting of production status as specially departmental KPI
• Reports to and supports supervisor in term of coordinating and communicating in case of quality issues, availability of parts and components, critical delivery deadlines

2 Qualifications and Key skills:

• Min SKM 1 and Diploma in any engineering, or equivalent, Fresh Graduate / Prefer 3 years of experience in similar cleanroom assembly processes
