Job summary

bp is seeking a C&EA Manager, AsPac to lead regional communications, stakeholder engagement and external affairs. You will partner with the AsPac VP to deliver integrated communications that support business priorities, strengthen reputation and manage risk across Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Vietnam.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in communications and external affairs, ideally in Asia Pacific.
• Experience delivering communications in multi-country, culturally diverse environments.
• Experience in external affairs, partner engagement, public policy or issues management.
• Ability to manage complex collaborator environments and advise leaders on reputational risk.
• Strong understanding of AsPac cultural, policy, regulatory, collaborator and media environments.
• Proven track record of supporting crisis and issues management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional collaborators.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project and channel management skills, including digital tools.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and deliver with agility.

Responsibilities

• Regional communications leadership across AsPac.
• Develop and deliver an AsPac communications plan aligned with business goals and transformation priorities.
• Advise leadership on essential messaging, visibility and priorities.
• Adapt global communications for regional contexts with cultural and linguistic relevance.
• External communications and reputation management including media engagement and announcements.
• Partner with Marketing to align product and corporate communications with regional priorities.
• Monitor industry and regulatory developments to keep communications relevant and risk-aware.
• Support positioning of Castrol as a standalone business with external audiences.
• Internal communications and engagement to keep employees informed and aligned.
• Crisis communications lead for AsPac with global coordination.
• Develop crisis materials and prepare leaders for high-pressure situations.
