Job summary

Celestica in Malaysia seeks an experienced Asia Controls Lead to oversee financial accounting policies, internal controls, and risk management across Asia. You will drive tax, treasury, and statutory compliance in collaboration with site controllers and manage SOX controls, audits, and reporting.

Key responsibilities include leading the Asia closing calendar, coordinating with GBS/R2R, and optimizing processes across sites while mentoring accounting and tax teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Professional accounting qualification and IFRS/US GAAP knowledge.
• 8–10 years accounting/tax experience; 3–5 years in supervisory business partnerships.
• Expertise in SAP; familiarity with multinational manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Asia finance controls and SOX compliance across sites.
• Coordinate tax, treasury and statutory filings with site controllers.
• Lead internal audit remediation and risk management across Asia.
• Manage cash flow, FX, and treasury activities for the region.
• Own Asia closing calendar with FP&A lead and site controllers.
• Support IT finance systems governance (SAP, Khalix, Power BI).
• Provide leadership and mentoring to accounting and tax teams.
• Drive process improvements across sites.
