Job summary

UNITED DETERGENT INDUSTRIES SDN BHD (UDI) seeks an experienced sales manager to lead the Northern Region (Penang, Kedah & Perlis). You will supervise sales personnel, drive sales programs, and align with distributors and retailers to hit revenue targets.

The role requires a degree in Marketing/Market Research/Business Administration, at least 5 years in FMCG, strong branding and product management understanding, and the ability to travel and perform under pressure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing, Market Research or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years in FMCG industry or equivalent.
• Strong foundations in branding and product management.
• Dynamic with analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willing to travel and work independently.
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales program.
• Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, setting sales targets and goals, and advises sales personnel, distributors, and retailers concerning sales and promotions techniques.
• Assigns sales territory to sales personnel, supervises sales personnel.
• Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist company and customers in promoting sales.
• Implements company’s credit policy, evaluates customer’s credit worthiness, monitors collections and initiates actions to recover debts.
• Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns to accomplish goals of company.
• Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
• Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
• Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, market situations and competitors activities.
