Job summary

Secret Recipe Cakes and Café Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned F&B operations manager in Malaysia, Selangor. You will lead outlet teams, uphold food safety and customer service standards, and drive profitable growth across multiple outlets through coaching and audits.

The role emphasizes people leadership, training, and brand growth, including new openings and product launches to meet financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that outlet teams are delivering excellent customer service in the area.
• Ensures that all customer feedback are appropriately addressed.
• Continuously drives and champions customer satisfaction and loyalty, coaches team on how to treat customers and bring them back.
• Conducts timely restaurant visits and QSC audits to ensure outlet excellence; communicates with outlet leadership.
• Ensures compliance with all legal, financial and operating company policies and procedures.
• Upholds food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, security and halal requirements at all times.
• Staffing: ensures outlets are adequately staffed at all levels and fosters positive culture.
• Coaches and develops outlet leadership including cafe managers and supervisors; ensures timely training.
• Sets targets and tracks performance; drives action plans to achieve goals.
• Monitors costs, minimizes wastage, and controls shrinkages and fraud; improves product mix for sales efficiency.
• Leads new outlet openings and product launches; resources and supports new outlet management.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have...

At least Diploma/ Bachelors in Hospitality, F&B management or related disciplines.

Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in the same management capacity within the F&B/ retail industry

Experienced with food safety and inventory management procedures

Passionate for customer service and sales

Possess own transportation for outlet visits

Job Responsibilities:

Operational

a)Customer

• Ensures that outlet teams are delivering excellent customer service in the area
• Ensures that all customer feedback are appropriately addressed
• Continuously drives and champions customer satisfaction and loyalty, coaches team on how to treat customers and bring them back

b)Operations

• Ensures that outlets are operating with excellence by conducting timely restaurant visitations, QSC audits and frequent communication with outlet leadership. This includes:
• Compliance with all legal, financial and operating company policies and procedures
• Food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, security and halal requirements are followed at all times
• All in outlet SOPs are strictly adhered to at all times
• All products and services going out to customers are of high quality and within standard
• Outlet is well kept and maintained, representing the brand appropriately

People

a)Outlet Teams

• Ensures that all outlets within area are adequately staffed at all levels
• Creates positive people culture and working environment within all outlets in area where people are motivated
• Monitors staff retention and turnover, initiates plans to retain people
• Values and respects diversity

b)Training and Development

• Coaches and develops outlet leadership team which includes café managers, supervisors and assistant supervisors.
• Ensures that training and development of outlet teams are of high quality and timely
• Sets targets, tracks and monitors performance of individual outlets
• Drives action plans to achieve these targets

b)Profit

• Monitors and implements controls to ensure that all outlets are operating at appropriate costs. Minimize wastages and ensure that costs are at optimum level.
• Control Shrinkages, store theft and fraud
• Improves product mix to improve sales productivity for better food cost

• Always looking for opportunities to grow brand in area

b)New Outlet Openings and New Products

• Leads and supports new outlet openings/ new products, ensure that it is adequately resourced and set up for success
• Coaches and supports new outlet management
