Job summary

PO Designs seeks a creative Architect to design functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing buildings in Malaysia. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet safety, budget, and regulatory requirements.

Core duties include developing designs and presentations, producing drawings with CAD/BIM, conducting site analyses, coordinating with engineers and interior designers, and overseeing construction progress to ensure compliance and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Licensed Architect (where applicable) or eligible for licensure.
• Proven experience in architectural design and project management.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs, concepts, and presentations in line with client requirements and project objectives.
• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD, BIM, or other design software.
• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and material selection to support project planning.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and interior designers to ensure structural integrity, functionality, and design consistency.
• Oversee construction progress and ensure adherence to architectural plans, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, building technologies, and regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with clients to explain design concepts, progress updates, and project requirements.
