Job summary

Entry-level Field Service Technician required to install, configure, calibrate, and repair technical products at customer field locations. This role is designed for new staff with supervision for non-routine tasks, within a large, diverse organization.

Responsibilities include maintenance, basic troubleshooting, training customers, and following detailed safety procedures on site.

Qualifications

• Basic vocational training or equivalent work experience.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under supervision.

About the role

Job Summary The (Field) Service Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, calibrating, and repairing technical products and systems at customer field locations. This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and technical support on installed equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic malfunctions.
• Assist in upgrades and replacements.
• Provide basic training to customer personnel.
• Follow detailed procedures and safety guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and the ability to carry out assigned tasks after initial instruction or demonstration.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under supervision.
