Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking an Applications Engineer in Malaysia to monitor applications and servers, fix issues, and develop code as needed. The role involves supporting users, collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting solutions, and maintaining security in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of related experience with a degree, strong English communication, and the ability to work across time zones occasionally. Logistics/warehouse knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of related experience with a degree.
• Ability to work in multicultural and complex environments.
• Knowledge in logistics and warehouse is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills to understand and fix issues.
• Proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficient in Oracle Forms and Reports.
• Able to work independently.
• Good English communication; willing to work across overseas time zones occasionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitor Systems: Keep an eye on applications and servers to ensure they run smoothly.
• Fix Issues: Identify and resolve technical problems quickly.
• Development: Requirements or issue fixes requiring coding
• Support Users: Help users with their technical queries and concerns.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with other teams to solve issues and improve systems.
• Document Work: Record incidents, solutions, and processes for future reference.
• Ensure Security: Follow IT policies and maintain system security.
• Represent Manager in management meeting as and when required.

What We Are Looking For

• Typically requires 3-4 years of related experience with a degree; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to working in multiple culture and complex structure environment
• Knowledge in Logistics and warehouse are preferred
• Excellent Analytical skills to understand and replicate the issue/bug and fix accordingly
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports
• Can work independently
• Good English communication is a must and be able to work in overseas time zone occasionally
