Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd, based in Malaysia, seeks a Service Recovery Head to lead incident, problem, change, and service management for banking systems. You will mentor 4 team leads and 40+ engineers in a fast-paced, matrix environment, driving improvements and coordinating with vendors and business users.

The role requires strong technical and people leadership, with expertise across Core Banking, Global Markets, and payment systems. On-site position at The Gardens, Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 12+ years of hands-on application support with at least 6 years in banking.
• Experience leading a group of 4 team leads and 40+ application support engineers (L2/L3).
• Independent, proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor banking systems for issues or anomalies and respond quickly to incidents to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis and document problems for permanent fixes.
• Coordinate and oversee changes to avoid disruption of operations.
• Ensure SLA compliance and generate regular performance reports.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate team activities for efficient operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve support processes and system performance.
