Job summary

AmBank Group is seeking an Application Support professional to ensure smooth business operations by monitoring, testing, and coordinating deployments. The role collaborates with Level 2 teams, vendors, and business users to resolve issues efficiently.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in CS/IT and at least 3 years of experience in application support, with Linux and SQL skills and familiarity with SOA/Web Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, in any related fields.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Application Support related functions
• Able to work independently and good team player.
• Experience with Linux and SQL
• Experience with SOA and Web Services (REST/SOAP) will be an added advantage
• Has analytical and problem solving capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support to meet the service level agreement and track problems for speedy resolutions.
• Liaise with Level 2 and in-house tech team or vendor on CR/ Bug Fix and propose long-term solutions.
• Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and validation of defect fixes with business users and vendors.
• Prepare and coordinate deployment processes; liaise with users for smooth deployment.
• Support disaster recovery testing to meet RTO and RPO objectives.
• Follow up on findings to ensure actions are taken, verified and closed.
• Monitor application performance, system health, and batch jobs for smooth operations.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours support, and critical production issue resolution.
