Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a field-based water treatment specialist to collect samples, perform on-site analyses with Nalco tools, and report results to the supervising engineer. You will manage dosing systems, calibrate analyzers, and ensure safe, compliant operations on customer sites.

The role requires hands-on equipment handling, a proactive safety mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with engineers and account teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Independently collect water samples from designated sampling points at customer sites.
• Conduct rapid, on-site water analysis using Nalco portable testing tools with strong analytical accuracy.
• Record, interpret, and report test results objectively to the supervising engineer, demonstrating decisive and clear communication.
• Dosing system operation: Chemical top-up and chemical handling.
• 3DT analyzer calibration; sensor replacement and verification; dosing hose inspection and replacement.
• Ensure smooth operation of automated dosing and monitoring equipment through troubleshooting.
• Apply proactive approach identifying potential system issues before they escalate.
• Provide daily performance updates to the responsible engineer, being assertive when highlighting issues and corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing technical service reports, checklists, and maintenance documentation.
• Attend customer meetings with the account owner for on-site reviews.
• Strictly comply with customer site regulations, safety protocols; follow internal safety standards and PPE guidelines.
• Report unsafe acts or incidents.
• Maintain and update Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checklists for Nalco dosing equipment.
• Take ownership of equipment reliability and long-term performance.
• Provide hands-on support to Ecolab engineers in daily tasks, troubleshooting, optimization, project execution.
• Assist during site inspections, shutdowns, start-ups, and service campaigns; show independent working style.
• Demonstrate a drive to learn and improve technical capability.
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Basic understanding of water systems (boilers, cooling towers, closed-loop systems).
• Training will be provided for candidates with an ambitious learning mindset.
• Strong hands-on capability in equipment handling, use of tools, and minor mechanical/electrical tasks.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures strictly and objectively.
• Good attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and record keeping.

Job description

3. Reporting & Communication

Provide daily performance updates to the responsible engineer, being assertive and outspoken when highlighting issues and corrective actions.

Assist in preparing technical service reports, checklists, and maintenance documentation with objective clarity.

Support the account owner in preparing technical and business review materials.

Attend customer meetings with the account owner to conduct on‑site reviews, demonstrating confidence and professional presence.

4. Safety & Compliance

Strictly comply with customer site regulations, work permits, and safety protocols at all times.

Follow Ecolab’s internal safety standards, chemical handling requirements, and PPE guidelines.

Actively report unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents, showing responsible, assertive, and safety‑driven behaviour.

5. Preventive Maintenance Management

Maintain and update Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checklists for all Nalco dosing equipment at customer sites.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed according to schedule and documented precisely, reflecting an organized and ambitious work ethic.

Take ownership of the equipment’s reliability and long-term performance.

6. Support to Engineers

Provide hands‑on support to Ecolab engineers in daily operational tasks, troubleshooting, optimization activities, and project execution.

Assist during site inspections, shutdowns, system start‑ups, and service campaigns with an adventurous, determined, and independent working style.

Demonstrate a strong drive to continuously learn and improve technical capability.
