Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in chemical, mechanical or instrumentation engineering.
• 2–4 years of engineering or application design experience in oil & gas or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of pumps, fluid dynamics, piping layouts and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and sales team to evaluate technical requirements and design proposals for odorization systems.
• Review tender specs, select equipment and design odorant injection configurations.
• Provide technical presentations and support bid evaluations.
• Liaise with project managers, plants and procurement to ensure design alignment from design to delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of odorization technologies and safety/regulatory standards.

This role involves liaising with customers and sales teams to evaluate technical requirements, design customized engineering solutions, and prepare detailed proposals for LPG and natural gas odorization systems.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and sales team by evaluating technical requirements, designing customized engineering solutions and preparing detailed proposals for LPG and natural gas odorization systems
• Review customer tender specifications, select appropriate equipment and design custom odorant injection system configurations
• Provide technical presentations, clarify engineering queries for clients and support sales team during bid evaluations
• Liaise with internal project manager, manufacturing plants and external procurement teams to ensure technical alignment from design to delivery
• Maintain up to date knowledge of gas odorization technologies, hazardous area standards and safety regulatory compliance

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of engineering or application design experience in oil & gas industry, utility gas or chemical handling sector
• Strong understanding of chemical injection pumps, fluid dynamics, piping layouts and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs)
• Excellent technical writing, communication skills and proficiency in engineering software or proposal preparation
