Job summary

Chroma Gas in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Chemical Engineer to support the Specialty Gas Production Department. You will assist in production, gas blending, filling, quality control, and maintaining production documentation.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor's in chemical engineering or related field, a willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing setting, and good numerical/problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Willing to work hands-on in a production environment.
• Knowledge of specialty gases, gas blending, laboratory analysis or ISO systems is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily specialty gas production and filling activities.
• Assist in preparing and calculating gas mixture formulations based on required specifications.
• Prepare production worksheets and maintain accurate production records.
• Check cylinders, valves, gases and raw materials before production.
• Operate and monitor gas filling and blending equipment under established procedures.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for gas analysis and product quality verification.
• Assist in troubleshooting production and product quality issues.
• Ensure production activities are carried out according to SOPs and safety requirements.
• Assist in maintaining production equipment and arranging calibration or preventive maintenance when required.
