Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Applications Engineer to design odorization systems for LPG and natural gas. You will liaise with customers and the sales team to tailor technical solutions and prepare detailed proposals.

The role requires 2–4 years in oil & gas or related sectors, with a strong grasp of chemical injection pumps, piping layouts and P&IDs. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2–4 years of engineering or application design experience in oil & gas, utility gas or chemical handling.
• Strong understanding of chemical injection pumps, fluid dynamics, piping layouts and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs).
• Excellent technical writing, communication skills and proficiency in engineering software or proposal preparation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical requirements with customers and sales to design customized odorization solutions.
• Review tender specs, select equipment and design odorant injection configurations.
• Provide technical presentations and support bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with project manager, manufacturing plants and procurement teams to align design and delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of gas odorization technologies, hazardous area standards and regulatory compliance.

Application Engineer (Odorization Systems)

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with customers and our sales team by evaluating technical requirements, designing customized engineering solutions and preparing detailed proposals for LPG and natural gas odorization systems.
• Review customer tender specifications, select appropriate equipment and design custom odorant injection system configurations.
• Provide technical presentations, clarify engineering queries for clients and support sales team during bid evaluations.
• Liaise with internal project manager, manufacturing plants and external procurement teams to ensure technical alignment from design to delivery.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of gas odorization technologies, hazardous area standards and safety regulatory compliance.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
