Responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery, implementation and support of banking applications, ensuring applications are delivered according to business requirements, project timelines, quality standards, security policies and operational requirements.
The Application Delivery Manager acts as a bridge between Business, Project Management, Application Development, Testing, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security and Application Support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of banking application projects, enhancements and releases.
- Manage application delivery from requirements through development, testing, deployment and post-production support.
- Coordinate multiple Application Development, QA, Infrastructure and Business teams.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects meet agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Review business requirements and ensure appropriate technical solutions are delivered.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Technical Leads on application design and implementation.
- Manage application development and enhancement activities.
- Oversee SIT, UAT, regression, performance and security testing.
- Ensure application defects and technical issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate defect triage and prioritisation with Development and Testing teams.
- Manage application releases, deployments and production implementation.
- Coordinate release and change management activities.
- Ensure appropriate Go-Live readiness and deployment approvals are obtained.
- Manage post-production support, application stabilisation and hypercare activities.
- Monitor application availability, performance and operational issues.
- Coordinate incident, problem and root-cause analysis for critical application issues.
- Manage application vendors, system integrators and third-party technology partners.
- Track project/application risks, issues, dependencies and technical constraints.
- Prepare application delivery status reports and management dashboards.
- Present delivery status, risks and issues to senior management and steering committees.
- Ensure application delivery complies with the bank's IT governance, cybersecurity, risk, audit and regulatory requirements.
- Support application lifecycle management, technology upgrades and application modernisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve application delivery processes, quality and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.
- 8–12+ years of IT experience, with strong experience in Application Delivery / Application Management / IT Project Delivery.
- Proven experience delivering complex banking applications and technology projects.
- Strong understanding of application development and SDLC.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of testing, release and deployment processes.
- Experience managing vendors and third-party technology partners.
- Strong stakeholder and senior management communication skills.
- Good understanding of IT governance, risk, security and compliance.
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Banking / financial-services experience is highly preferred.
