Job summary

Maybank in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced IT Project Manager to plan, manage, and deliver IT projects and system enhancements. The role requires guiding a technical team, allocating tasks, and ensuring quality outputs on schedule.

You will design, analyze, code and test programs aligned with user specifications, provide application support, and ensure SLA compliance while adhering to QA SDLC standards and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• With minimum 5 years of experience in IT application delivery and support or IT project management.
• Experience in Unit Trust, Asset Management & Investment related systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan & manage IT projects and apply prudent project management principles to successfully implement projects/systems enhancements.

Job description

• Provide application support, performance and problem resolution activities and be responsive to the needs and meeting user demands.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth implementation of Projects & URS enhancements on time and within budget.
• Ensure system availability and meet SLA.
• Ensure timely resolution of application problems.
• Ensure compliance of IT standards / policies, QA SDLC procedures and Audit requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• With minimum 5 years of experience in IT Application delivery and support or IT Project Management.
• Experience in Unit Trust, Asset Management & Investment related systems.

Technical Requirements:

• Core Java / Java EE (J2EE): Solid understanding of OOP principles, exception handling, multithreading, design patterns.
• Mobile architecture and development: React Native, React JS
• Tools: JUnit, Postman, JMeter (or equivalent)
• Operating Systems: RHEL, Windows Server, AIX, Solaris Server
• Middleware: Oracle Weblogic, JBOSS/WildFly, IBM WebSphere, Apache Kafka, API Gateway
• Database: Oracle – proficient in SQL, stored procedures and performance tuning
• Java Frameworks: hands‑on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
