APAC Regional Financial Controller – Cross-Border Leader

Job summary

Morgan Philips Group is partnering with a global organisation expanding in Asia-Pacific to appoint a Financial Controller who will lead the regional controllership across 8 countries and 11 entities. You will drive monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under IFRS/US GAAP, support FP&A, ensure robust internal controls, tax compliance, treasury and business partnering with sales and operations.

The role requires strong cross-border leadership and a track record of finance

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5–7 years in finance or accounting with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of APAC regulatory requirements and IFRS/US GAAP.
• Experience leading cross-border finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting: deliver monthly, quarterly and annual reports under local statutory requirements and IFRS/US GAAP; consolidate results across entities.
• FP&A: support budgets, forecasts and financial models; track performance against plan and analyse variances.
• Compliance and internal controls: ensure regional tax compliance, controls and liaise with auditors and authorities.
• Tax: oversee tax planning, filings and compliance incl. VAT/GST and transfer pricing docs.
• Treasury and cash management: cash flow forecasting, working capital, banking relations and FX risk.
• Business partnering: provide financial guidance to sales, ops and supply chain on pricing, expansion and investment decisions.
• Team leadership: mentor regional finance team and align local with global finance.
• Projects: drive ERP implementations, process automation and finance transformation initiatives.
• Stakeholder management: main contact for external auditors, banks and authorities.
