Remote is hiring a Manager, Payroll Operations to lead the global payroll function within our Global Payroll Operations team. This role will own planning and implementation of the Payroll chapter and drive excellence across international sites.

You will manage the payroll team across APAC, ensure compliant, timely payroll, and collaborate with external providers. The role emphasizes people leadership, process optimization, and adherence to global payroll standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in regional/global payroll operations (Australia/New Zealand).
• Understanding of global payroll best practices.
• Experience implementing payroll in multiple countries and managing third-party providers.
• Passionate about people management; avoid micromanagement.
• Proficient in SAP, Excel/Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Payroll team will report to you; provide guidance and mentorship.
• Own the complete payroll function; ensure on-time, accurate processing and compliance.
• Serve as a point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the Payroll team; unblock and support them.
• Stay up to date with international payroll laws/regulations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and country-specific policies.
• Manage relationships with payroll, accounting and service providers.
• Develop and implement best practices, KPIs and SLAs for the team.
