Job summary

Boston Scientific Gruppe in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Payroll Analyst III to independently manage end-to-end payroll delivery for APAC sites and employee populations, ensuring accurate, on-time payments and compliance with statutory and company requirements.

You will validate payroll results, coordinate with HR, Finance and external providers, and drive process improvements, audits, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, HR or related field.
• 5–6 years of payroll experience, preferably APAC.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance.
• Experience with multiple payroll vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Shared Services/GBS preferred.
• Exposure to payroll projects, process improvement, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for assigned countries/sites/employees.
• Process and validate payroll transactions including changes, compensation, time and leaves.
• Perform reconciliations, controls, variance analysis, and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, social security, SOX, and data privacy.
• Prepare statutory filings, payments, year-end activities, and reports.
• Coordinate expatriate and complex payroll transactions as needed.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, and GBS for accurate delivery.
• Manage external payroll providers and monitor service levels.
• Address complex payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Support audits and corrective actions.
• Drive payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
