Job summary

FrieslandCampina is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist in Kuala Lumpur to act as a sparring partner for HR SSC, handling end-to-end payroll for APAC countries and driving process harmonization and automation projects.

You will manage payroll through third-party vendors and in-house processing, handle employee queries on rewards and onboarding, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements while supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 4–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in HR SSC/GBS with APAC exposure.
• Strong end-to-end payroll and tax experience in local and regional payroll functions.
• Attention to detail with ability to deliver quality output under pressure and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, strategic planning mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and automation skills (RDA, RPA, Macros).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for APAC countries, coordinating with third-party vendors and in-house teams.
• Serve as point of contact for employee and departmental queries on rewards, workforce administration, time & attendance, and onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with country laws and timely remittance and statutory submissions.
• Maintain payroll controls and support internal and external audits.
• Identify automation opportunities across APAC payroll activities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Lead payroll operational projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide up-to-date documentation of processes and review work instructions.
