Job summary

Omya Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an AP Specialist to manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate data entry.

You will reconcile supplier invoices, support month-end close, monitor cash flow, and maintain audit-ready records while upholding internal controls. Strong communication with vendors and internal teams, and proficiency with SAP or similar ERP are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field as required.
• Partial ACCA or similar professional accounting qualification is acceptable.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in accounts payable is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process payments according to agreed terms and ensure on-time payments.
• Prepare payment batches manually or automatically and initiate payments.
• Reconcile payment transactions with bank statements and records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and reporting.
• Monitor cash flow to prioritize payments while maintaining liquidity.
• Maintain up-to-date payment records and audit documentation.
• Ensure payments comply with internal controls and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve payment processes.
