Job summary

PPG Industries in Malaysia’s Shared Finance Centre located in Shah Alam seeks an AR specialist to manage collections for Australia and New Zealand, perform account reconciliation, and guide dispute resolution. You will minimize credit risk exposure and partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing teams to resolve issues.

You will also lead dashboards using Power BI and Excel, maintain records, monitor aging and credit limits, and ensure compliance with credit policies.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections with IT background.
• Hybrid or shared service center environment.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Proactive and collaborative, while still able to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, macros is a bonus)

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts across Australia and New Zealand.
• Implement collection strategies to reduce overdue balances and improve cash flow.
• Conduct regular follow-ups by phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries, disputes, and deductions promptly.
• Work with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing teams to resolve issues affecting payment.
• Ensure accurate account reconciliation and documentation.
• Monitor credit limits, aging reports, and payment trends.
• Escalate high-risk accounts and recommend actions (credit holds).
• Support periodic credit reviews as required.
• Act as liaison between ANZ teams and Shared Service Center.
• Maintain relationships with customers to support collections.
• Provide regular updates to partners on collection status and risks.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and prepare reports.
