Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to support shared services for international locations. You will forecast payables, process payments, and reconcile bank activity while ensuring accuracy and fraud controls.

This role involves managing corporate card programs (US and Europe) and collaborating with global teams. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in AP shared services, strong communication, ERP experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision across borders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable Shared Services supporting international locations.
• Able to work under minimum supervision & meet deadlines.
• Able to effectively communicate with working partners at foreign countries.
• Experience with ERP software Oracle E–Business Suite and Concur preferred.
• Experience with corporate card programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecast weekly payables schedule and projected outgoing funds with treasurer and finance team.
• Process payments and intercompany payment runs to ensure timely disbursement.
• Reconcile payment batches and bank activity, resolve discrepancies.
• Support administration of COHERENT CORP's global corporate card programs (US and Europe).
• Partner with Global Shared Services AP vouchering team to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly KPI reports for AP payment processes.
• Monitor outstanding checks and resolve exceptions with internal teams and banks.
• Review vendor banking changes through workflows and verify changes with vendors.
• Backup and assist with uploads such as freight, commissions and Concur files.
• Support month-end close and respond to auditor requests; handle ad hoc AP tasks.

Job Description

• Forecasting weekly payables schedule as well as projected outgoing funds and communicating these with the treasurer and other finance members


• Process treat payment and intercompany payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds


• Reconcile payment batches and bank activity, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure completeness and accuracy of payment records.


• Support administration of Coherent’s global corporate card programs (U.S. and Europe), including card issuance, limit maintenance, usage monitoring, and delinquency follow up, ensuring all card requests and changes are properly approved.


• Partner with the Global Shared Services AP vouchering team to investigate and resolve invoice, posting, and payment related issues, providing timely feedback and resolution support.


• Prepare monthly/ quarterly report for Key Performance Indicator metrics for the Accounts Payable Payment process.


• Monitor outstanding checks, working with internal teams, vendors, and banks to resolve exceptions in a timely manner


• Monitor shared outlook inboxes relating to AP as well as mail and reaching out to vendors to go paperless if they have not done so already


• Review and verify vendor banking changes through established workflows and verify the changes with vendor, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to fraud prevention controls.


• Backup and assist with uploads such as freight, commissions, legal payments, and Concur related files


• Supporting with month-end close activities, working closely with any internal or external auditors on requests, and ensuring overall smooth payment runs.


• Assist with ad hoc AP requests and special projects, supporting initiatives and urgent needs from U.S. and Germany regional finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, I.T. or a related field preferred


• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable Shared Services supporting international locations


• Able to work under minimum supervision & meet deadlines


• Able to effectively communicate with working partners at foreign countries


• Experience with common Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Oracle E—Business Suite and Concur referred


• Experience with corporate card programs is a plus.
