Job summary

Cayman Islands Airports Authority invites an experienced Airport Development Manager to lead the development team overseeing ORIA and CKIA, ensuring safe, compliant master and interim plans while coordinating with CAOO and other departments.

The role requires a Bachelor in Airport Planning and Management, 10 years in airport planning, 5 years in management, and proven ability to manage contracts, budgets, and stakeholder relations to deliver complex capital projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Airport Planning and Management or equivalent professional training.
• 10 years’ experience in airport planning and administering capital improvement programmes.
• Minimum of 10 years in airport development/operations with at least 5 years at management level.
• Experience applying project management principles in contracts for architectural/engineering/construction services.
• Familiarity with ICAO, ASSI, CIAA standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the planning and development of Airport Development capital projects under the guidance of the Chief Airport Operations Officer (CAOO).
• Directs, coordinates and manages the activities of design professionals, technical consultants and contractors.
• Prepares capital and operating budgets and business plans as required and monitors and controls budgets within the approved business plan.
• Liaises with all airport departments and stakeholders to achieve the Authority’s objectives.
• Assists in ensuring that the CAOO’s responsibilities in the Airport Emergency Plan are upheld.
• Supports and deputises for the Chief Airport Operations Officer as required.
