Job summary

Cayman Airways Limited is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support the Engineering Manager in setting standards, evaluating performance, and handling airworthiness documentation for the company’s fleet. The role demands strong technical leadership and a proven track record with B737-NG/MAX aircraft.

The successful candidate will coordinate with the engine shop and participate in audits, maintaining safety, quality, and cost-efficiency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License without type rating issued by OTAR Part 66.51.
• Must hold or have held full certifying authority on B737-NG / B737-8 MAX in A/C or Avionics, or similar aircraft.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science/Engineering or 10+ years as an approved engineer on B737-NG/-8 MAX or similar aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager Engineering in establishing standards and issuance of specifications for overhaul, maintenance and safe operation of aircraft, components and test equipment.
• Assist the Manager Engineering to evaluate performance and problems related to aircraft and equipment and provide guidance for technical problems.
• Review Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, In-Service Activity Reports, Incident Reports and initiate company action as necessary.
• Assist the Manager Engineering in managing engine shop visit maintenance program for safe and cost-effective operation.

Knowledge:

• Must possess a currentAircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License without type rating issued by a licensing authority specified in OTAR Part 66.51.
• Must be the holder of orpreviously held full certifying authority on the B737-NG / or B737-8 MAX aircraft in either the A & C or Avionics category, or similar aircraft.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science/Engineering or a minimum of 10years of experience as an approved engineer on theB737-NG / -8 MAX or similar aircraft, with
• Experience in a technical support, production planning or engineeringcoordination role will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with OTARs, CAMO environments and Microsoft Office.
