Job summary

Shipco Transport Inc. in Penang seeks a lead for airfreight development and team management across four offices. You will build airfreight operations, supervise the team, and maintain key airline and GSA relationships to drive profitability.

Strong network, IATA compliance, and a commercial mindset are essential. You will ensure timely shipments, monitor payment cycles, and support ad-hoc assignments while upholding global and local policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years similar experience in the Ocean / Air freight industries
• Knowledgeable in commercial and operational roles in freight management/NVOCC business (Product/Commercial Business Development/Tender Management)
• Strong external and internal networks related to Ocean/Air freight
• Proven experience working in a global, matrix business environment
• Strong commercial mind-set and good product knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills & negotiation experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the development of airfreight operations and the management of the airfreight team across Malaysia offices.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSA agents, and warehouse operators.
• Track and trace with all compliance with IATA and ensuring adherence to payment cycles.
• Ensure all shipments tendered to the company are handled in a timely and profitable manner.
• Customer service orientated and result driven.
• Adhere to corporate compliance, global and local policies with procedures designed to prevent and detect violations of applicable law, regulations, rules and ethical standards by employees, agents and others.
• Any ad-hoc assignment that have been assigned from time to time.
