Job summary

Ocean Hub Management Sdn. Bhd. invites AI R&D Engineers to join our Cheras, Kuala Lumpur team. You will research, design, develop, and maintain AI-powered solutions with a focus on live chat and AI agent systems, including integration with internal APIs.

You will work on real-world AI products, collaborate with Product, Operations, and R&D, and contribute to knowledge bases, prompt engineering, and system testing to improve accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in AI, ML, NLP, Backend Engineering or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar).
• Good understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integration.
• Understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered Live Chat and Customer Support solutions.
• Develop and integrate LLM-based applications using OpenAI/Claude/Gemini models.
• Build and improve RAG systems and AI knowledge bases.
• Develop AI Agent systems capable of understanding requests and executing tasks.
• Implement Function/Tool Calling and integrate AI Agents with internal APIs and databases.
• Collaborate with Product, Operation, and R&D teams to translate requirements into AI solutions.
