Job summary

StarHub is seeking a highly capable Automation Engineer in Malaysia, Petaling Jaya, to own end-to-end automation delivery using UiPath, Workato, and GenAI-powered workflows.

The role focuses on solution design, development, deployment, monitoring, and support within a DevOps delivery model, driving digital transformation, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experience through automated processes and AI-enabled autonomous workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation, integration, or RPA development.
• Strong hands-on UiPath and Workato experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from business stakeholders, identify automation opportunities, and design scalable, reusable solutions.
• Develop, configure, and deploy workflows using UiPath and Workato.
• Integrate with platforms (CRM, ITSM, Billing, Slack, AI chatbots) to streamline cross-platform processes.
• Apply AI and Agentic AI capabilities (multi-agent orchestration, GenAI-based conversational bots, retrieval-augmented generation) to enable self-service resolution and autonomous troubleshooting.
• Manage the full automation lifecycle: build, test, deploy, monitor, optimize.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automation assets with proper version control.
• Proactively monitor automation health, log events, and track KPIs using monitoring tools.
• Detect anomalies, troubleshoot failures, and resolve incidents with observability integrations.
• Continuously refine automations based on analytics, user feedback, and AI learning loops.
• Ensure automations comply with security, compliance, and governance standards.
