Job summary

Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT in Johor Bahru is launching a dedicated internship to blend accounting expertise with AI and automation. You will gain structured training in AI tools, workflow automation, and data analytics, supporting internal operations and client service.

The role offers six months of hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and exposure to firm-wide transformation initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Minimum internship duration of six (6) months is required.
• Strong interest in technology, automation, and AI applications in accounting.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in AI and automation transformation projects for internal operations and client-facing engagements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities within audit, tax, and advisory workflows.
• Assist with the implementation of cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Bukku) or ERP systems aligned with business strategy and IRBM e-invoicing requirements.
• Explore, design, test, and implement AI-driven and automated solutions (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, ChatGPT, n8n).
• Collaborate closely with audit, tax, and IT teams to deploy and monitor automated processes.
• Document transformation outcomes and assist in staff training to ensure successful adoption.
