Job summary

QBE Asia Services Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Specialist, Business Development, Agency in Johor Bahru. This hybrid, full-time role focuses on growing the agency portfolio, driving profitability, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

You will lead strategy execution, manage agency servicing, and enable channels to deliver superior service while building strong client relationships and a positive NPS. Excellent presentation and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years' relevant work experience in agency service and business development at supervisory level.
• Proactive, self-motivated and a good team player.
• Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to deliver on agreed business targets.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and profitability of the agency portfolio while ensuring compliance.
• Manage strategy definition and execution for Agencies – all classes.
• Build and maintain agency relationships and promote company image.
• Underwrite new business and renewals for selected products with timely quotes.
• Monitor performance against sales targets and KPIs including agent development and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with Insurance Authority regulations and internal guidelines.
• Provide administration support to the Distribution Team and engage with internal stakeholders.
