Job summary

Malaysia Airports is seeking an Admin/Operations Officer (Airside) to support the Senior Operation Officer in monitoring airside operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory documents. The role requires performing regular inspections of runway, taxiway and apron and addressing defects promptly.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma with at least 2 years in airport duty operations, and is proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Diploma with at least 2 years experience in Duty Operations Roles in airport related operations
• Basic knowledge on airport operations management

Responsibilities

• Monitor Airside Operations and ensure compliance with documents
• Perform regular inspection on runway, taxiway and apron
• Report irregularities and defects to relevant units immediately
• Ensure no obstruction to aircraft and vehicle movement
• Maintain visibility of markings, signs and facilities
• Keep surfaces clean and clear from FOD
• Ensure runway sweepers are serviceable for cleaning
• Report incidents to Head of Operations
• Follow directives from airport higher authority
• Ensure compliance with Annex 14, MCAR and related documents
• Handle and resolve customer complaints
• Coordinate with units to ensure facilities are in good condition

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

To assist the Senior Operation Officer in the monitoring of Airside Operations and to ensure compliance with all related documents.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• To perform regular inspection on runway, taxiway and apron at least 4 times daily to ensure smooth and safe operations of aircraft movement
• To report any irregularities and defects on surface, AGL and other facilities to the relevant units immediately
• To ensure no obstruction to aircraft and vehicle movement on the movement area
• To ensure markings, signs and other related facilities are visible and in good conditions at all times
• To ensure surface are clean and clear from FOD for the safe operations of aircraft movement
• To ensure runway sweepers are serviceable at all times so that cleaning of surfaces can be carried out when needed
• To report any incident/accident to Head of Operations immediately
• To carry out any directives given by airport higher authority.
• To ensure compliance with the Annex 14, MCAR and other relevant documents
• To handle and resolve all customers complaint
• To coordinate with other units as to ensure all facilities provided are in good working condition

Relevant Industries

• Diploma with at least 2 years experience in Duty Operations Roles in airport related operations OR
• Possess basic knowledge on airport operations management

Education

Diploma in any discipline preferably in Engineering / Management / Transportation
