Job summary

Vector Control Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an ACMV / HVAC Technician to support our growing project team in Penang, focusing on BMS, ACMV, building management systems and industrial automation.

Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply; training and guidance will be provided. Carry out installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of BMS and HVAC control systems on site. Candidates with basic knowledge of AHU, FCU, ventilation, pumps and sensors will have an advantage, and

Qualifications

• Certificate, SKM, Diploma or equivalent in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related technical field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and training will be provided
• Basic knowledge of AHU, FCU, ventilation, pumps, sensors or electrical wiring is advantageous
• BMS/DDC/control-system experience is an advantage but not compulsory
• Willing to travel to project sites as required
• Valid driving licence / own transport is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of BMS and HVAC control systems
• Assist with DDC/PLC controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels and field devices
• Perform control wiring, cable termination, point-to-point checks and I/O testing
• Install and check temperature, humidity, pressure and other BMS sensors and control devices
• Assist engineers during system start-up, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Carry out basic checks on BACnet, Modbus and other BMS communication networks
• Assist with BMS graphics, alarms, trends and point verification
• Support testing and control of AHU, FCU, exhaust fans, pumps, valves and other HVAC equipment from the BMS/control side
• Carry out site inspections, equipment checks and punch-list rectification
• Read and understand basic wiring diagrams, control drawings, layouts and I/O schedules
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, contractors and other site teams
• Report daily site progress, technical issues and work status to the Project Engineer
• Follow project safety, quality and housekeeping requirements

Job Responsibilities

Who we're looking for

• Basic knowledge of AHU, FCU, ventilation, pumps, sensors or electrical wiring is an advantage
• BMS/DDC/control‑system experience is an advantage, but not compulsory
• Willing to learn and perform hands‑on site work
• Responsible, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Willing to travel to project sites when required
• Valid driving licence / own transport is an advantage
