Job summary

Ener Tech Solutions SDN. BHD. is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support daily financial operations in Malaysia. You will handle accounts payable and receivable, prepare vouchers, and assist in reconciliations and month-end closing.

The role requires basic accounting knowledge, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team, are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous accounting experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Good organisational, communication, and time management skills.
• Meticulous, responsible, and able to handle confidential information.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Check supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery orders.
• Prepare payment vouchers and assist in arranging supplier payments.
• Prepare customer invoices, record receipts, and monitor outstanding payments.
• Assist in supplier and customer account reconciliations.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and recording accounting transactions.
• Monitor and record expenses relating to raw materials, spare parts, subcontractors, and engineering projects.
• Assist in maintaining inventory-related accounting records and checking stock discrepancies where required.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting documents.
• Assist in month-end closing and preparation of accounting schedules.
• Prepare supporting documents for external audits and tax submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on accounting matters.
• Provide support to the existing accounts personnel and perform other duties as assigned by management.
