Job summary

Talent Recruit is recruiting for an Accounts Executive (Full set) based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be responsible for preparing full sets of accounts, ensuring transactions are approved, recorded accurately, and reconciliations are up to date.

The role requires 2–3 years of finance/accounting experience, a Diploma/ Degree in Accounting or equivalent, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in F&B/retail or food manufacturing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of accounts.
• Process backlog invoices with proper approvals and documentation.
• Record transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly cash flow and forecast vs. actuals.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and supplier/customer queries.
• Coordinate monthly-end and year-end closing of management accounts.
• Assist with audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as directed by management.

Company Background:

Currently representing a fast growing Food & beverage retail company with over 20+ outlets across Malaysia.As they are expanding, they are looking forAccount Executive (Full set)to be basedin Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation of full sets of accounts.
• Ensure all transactions are supported with proper approval and relevant supporting documents as well as recorded in the accounting system.
• To process and clear backlog invoices.
• Ensure accounting records prepared are accordance to accounting practices, company policies and statutory requirements for tax and audit purposes.
• Liaise with bank officers, tax consultants, auditors and relevant statutory bodies when required.
• Monitor cash / bank transactions and prepare monthly cash flow.
• Ensure bank reconciliations are up to date.
• Deal with supplier, client, and invoice queries if necessary.
• Prepare Forecast and Actual Cash Flow Statement.
• Review and compile employees & claim; expenses and make reimbursements.
• Perform reconciliation of accounts payable, receivable, bank, and inter-company balance.
• Coordinate and perform monthly-end and year-end closing management accounts.
• Perform other ad hoc assignment and task as and when requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• At least aDiploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years working experience in finance/accounting position, preferably in the F&B, retail or food manufacturing industry.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical skills and effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate and steer towards the organization mission and goals
• Fast paced environment.
• Able to work under pressure.
