Job summary

Foxconn Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring an Accounts Executive / Assistant Accountant in Penang. You will handle monthly to year-end close, ledger and intercompany accounts, and support AR/AP processes, including reconciliations and payment processing.

You will assist in management reporting, budgets, forecasts, tax work, and ensure compliance with MFRS and group policies. Mandarin-speaking interactions are a plus for client communications.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least Advanced/Higher Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Finance/ Accountancy or part ACCA or equivalent.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Candidates fluent in Mandarin are preferred due to Mandarin-speaking clients
• At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field
• Familiar with trading/sales office environment; MFRS knowledge is a plus
• SAP and/or Oracle knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities including general ledger, fixed assets, journal entries, AR, AP, intercompany accounts and billing.
• Prepare and reconcile AP/AR transactions, payment processing, petty cash and cash flow related reports.
• Monitor AR matters including debt follow-up, customer reconciliation and ageing reports.
• Assist in preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Support tax work including tax schedules, SST matters, filings and compliance documents.
• Maintain proper filing and archiving of accounting records.
• Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretary, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders on accounting and compliance matters.
