Job summary

WLS Furnishing in Semenyih, Malaysia is seeking an Accountant to support the full set of accounts for a group of companies. The role requires a diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance, strong English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin, and fresh graduates are welcome.

You will manage accounts receivable/payable, assist with audits, tax, and SST, and ensure timely monthly close while guiding junior staff. Overtime may be required with rewards; growth opportunities exist within a well-established

Qualifications

• Graduate with diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance.
• At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
• Knowledge of SQL Accounting is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SST and basic taxation is an advantage.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and guide juniors.
• Willing to work overtime for additional rewards.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and cash flow.
• Review receivables and payables.
• Liaise with suppliers and authorities.
• Handle audit, tax and corporate secretarial matters with auditors/agents.
• Ensure timely closing of monthly accounts.
• Review filing, record keeping and document accuracy.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare related company transactions and follow up on reconciling items.
• Ensure KPI targets for accounts payable are met and action plans developed.

Responsibilities

• To handle correspondence with suppliers and authorities/3rd.
• To handle audit, tax and corporate secretarial matters by liaising with auditors, tax agents, and secretarial agents to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Ensuring in timely closing of monthly accounts.
• Review of filling, keep record and assuring accurate documents filling
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare related companies transactions and ensure reconciling items are followed up properly
• Responsible for ensuring KPIs for account payable are met, these include timely processing and payments of invoices
• Develop action plans to help the team to achieve KPI
