Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking Account Executive/Senior Account Executive to join our finance team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. Diploma to Bachelor in Accounting/Finance or related field; 1-3 years for Account Executive, 3-5 for Senior; proficient with Excel; experience with SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks, Xero; able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

You will handle full set of accounts, month-end closing, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting; provide on-site support when

Qualifications

• Diploma to Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience for Account Executive; 3–5 years for Senior Account Executive.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office suite.
• Experience with accounting software (SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, SST, and statutory compliance is an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handling full set of accounts and performing month-end closing in a timely manner.
• Prepare bank reconciliation and monitor daily balances.
• Prepare monthly management reports and other accounting matters.
• Assist in audit and tax preparation.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing to support entries.
• On-site support as required.

Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience for Account Executive;3–5 years for Senior Account Executive.

Responsibility

• Account pending follow up
• Assist in audit and tax preparation
• Ensure proper maintenance of documentation and filing to support all accounting entries
• Performing day to day accounting operations
• Undertake any other ad-hoc accounting assignment
• Ensuring compliance by following policies and procedures
• Any add hoc tasks assigned by management
• On-site support (If required)
