Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an accountant to manage full set of accounts, ensure accuracy, and support monthly and yearly closings. The role includes coordinating with auditors, tax agents, and regulators, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual group reports.

You will assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while ensuring compliance with standards and internal controls. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in corporate tax computation and audit schedules.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Group.
• Support consolidation activities and ensure timely completion of group reporting requirements.
• Perform intercompany reconciliation and follow up on outstanding discrepancies.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities (e.g., LHDN).
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, SOPs, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports as assigned by management.
• Maintain proper documentation and accounting records.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management.
