Job summary

SMP GLOBAL PROJECTS SDN BHD is seeking an accounting professional responsible for preparing the full set of accounts and ensuring compliance with Malaysia and Singapore accounting standards. The role includes audit support, inter-company billing, and maintaining robust internal controls.

The candidate will contribute to timely financial closing, balance sheet reconciliation and liaison with auditors, tax agents, and bankers, supporting a smooth financial operation across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Prepare full set of accounts.
• Knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore accounting.
• Assist on yearly audit.
• Assist on inter-company billing.
• Ensure accounting records are updated and reconciled.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end financial processes including collections, payments, monthly close and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, legal, bankers, and others.
• Ensure compliance with company policy and internal controls.

Responsible to prepare full set of accounts

Knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore accounting

Preparation of accounting schedules

Assist on yearly audit

Assist on inter-company billing

Control and manages end-to-end financial processes in support of the account which includes collections, payments, monthly close activities and balance sheet reconciliation

Ensuring all accounting systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully compliance with company policy

Establish effective internal control procedures to improve accounting and reporting systems

Ensure all the accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system

Liaise with Internal and External Auditors, Tax Agent, Legal, Bankers and etc.

Assist on any ad-hoc tasks required by management
