Abers Resources Sdn Bhd in Port Klang is seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager (Mandarin speaker) to oversee the full set of accounts and lead the accounting team on site. The role involves reviewing transactions, preparing monthly management accounts, and monitoring cash flow while coordinating month-end close.

The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in accounting with at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and leadership capabilities for guiding the team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and full set of accounts.
• Experience supervising an Accounts team an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple accounting tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong teamwork and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
• Review transactions, reconciliations, ledgers and supporting documents.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
• Monitor payables, receivables, cash flow, and other activities.
• Coordinate monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Review project costing, inventory records and related data.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Assist in audit, tax, and statutory schedules.
• Supervise Accounts team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure proper accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Assist in payroll reviews and salary-related records.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and external parties.
• Support management in reports, budgeting and costing.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting duties.
